Why JCSA Membership Matters
The Jewellery Council of South Africa (JCSA) is the national body that represents jewellers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and gold buyers across the country. Membership is not automatic. Applicants are vetted on business practices, financial standing, and adherence to a strict Code of Ethics that governs how members deal with the public and with each other.
For anyone selling gold, a JCSA member is a buyer who has agreed, in writing, to operate within a published set of ethical standards, and who can be held to account by an industry body if they fall short. GoldTrust chooses to carry that accountability on every transaction. When you sell to us, the Code of Ethics below is the floor we agree to work above.

You are welcome to save or share this certificate. It is the official document issued by the Jewellery Council confirming our status as a member in good standing.
The JCSA Code of Ethics
Every JCSA member is required to abide by the Code of Ethics shown below. It covers honesty in description, fair dealing, disclosure, and conduct toward customers and fellow members. We keep a copy on this page so you can read it in full before you decide who to sell to.
Verifying Our Membership
If you would like to independently verify that GoldTrust is a current JCSA member, you can contact the Jewellery Council of South Africa directly through their website. You are also welcome to phone or email us and we will put you in touch with our JCSA liaison.
